Sharing good news from KADOO Team!
In September, we were chosen as one of the recipients of Caress x IFWOC Covid-19 Grant Program. I FundWomen of Color (IFWOC), is the leading platform for diverse entrepreneurs to raise capital through crowdfunding, grants, and coaching. While Caress is a beauty brand that aims to empower and uplift women, together Caress and IFWOC have partnered to support the growing community of diverse women entrepreneurs as they navigate building their businesses and bringing their visions to life.
We started KADOO just one year shy, with a modest capital. To our delight, we received a lot of positive response that allows our company to grow. But that also means a lot more resources and additional help are needed to continue to grow the company. As a small team, we have been wearing many hats, from sourcing products, budgeting our financial and inventory, building our online store, including designing all the design and marketing collaterals.
We were introduced to IFW (IFundWomen) in our early days by a dear friend. After reading their mission, we decided to apply for the grant. After all, we had nothing to lose and no big expectation.
Months passed by and to our surprise, we received the good news from Olivia Owens, founder of IFWOC (I Fund Women of Color).
With the fund we raise through IFW, we plan to scale up our business and grow our brand recognition. The grant has tremendously helped our daily operation, and enable us to hire more professionals for the upcoming busy holiday season.
Thank you IFundWomen and Caress for selecting us as the grant recipient. We are forever grateful, and we hope that we can spread this wonderful opportunity to other women-owned businesses. Because we believe that together, we can create a strong community!
