Small Axe Peppers connects people directly to urban farms and community gardens in the local neighborhood. Founded by John A. Crotty, John Fitzgerald, Todd Snyder and Drew Doscher, the company started in 2014 with the Bronx hot sauce, when Small Axe Peppers and GrowNYC donated serrano pepper seedlings to five community gardens in The Bronx, New York. The company has expanded its model to 15 cities across America, and purchased locally-grown peppers from more than 75 community gardens. They have a commitment to purchase core products (at least 50% of expenses) from independent suppliers local to New York City and its surrounding areas.
Righteous Fellon jerky is handmade and produced in small batches to ensure freshness, quality, and consistency. Their top-quality, hormone & antibiotic-free beef is sourced from Roseda Beef, a local Black Angus farm grown locally in Pennsylvania. These pasture-raised beef came from a single source that is dry-aged for 21 days prior to jerkification to ensure complete absorption of the marinade deep into the beef.
